Dear friends and collectors,
I would be very gratefull if sombody could transalte for me this arabic inscription.
This inscription is on an old rifle barrel I just got. I can translate a year (1804) but not other text.
I know that this is not the topic for coin collectors and I apologize for that but I had idea that coins collectors who can read arabic can help me with this.

Best Regards from Belgrade

Can't help you much further, my Arabic deciphering skills are a little rusty. But the date is AH1215 which is equivalent to 1800.

Hi guys,

Thank's for the quick responses! I apreciate your effort alot!

Medieval I managed to detect a year to 1803-1804 so if you sai 1800 than I was close.

Mass I though that it could be either maker or owners name. Can you translate the name and/or title if there is any?

Regards

from right to left :saheb and malek hasan ben mahmoud hawajah/swajah 1215 = 1800/1801 ,

the ottoman inscription like arabic but meaning different except some words and names ,

maybe It's maker name , first tow words (saheb and malek) like Verbal noun in arabic meaning owner and you can translate to the name in same time

Mass, Thank's alot for your help and effort! I apreciate it alot!

To conclude it could mean: " owner Hasan Ben Mahmud Hawajah 1800 or 1801"
Concerning that this rifle is found in Serbia (Balkans), I asume that "Ben" is a title and could also mean "Begh" which is comon title in Balkan during Ottoman empire. "Mahmud" can be found as last name "Mehmedovic". "Hawajah" I can't put in any context other as it is.

Anyway thank's again and Best Regards!
