Does have just some lines, but it's not Indian. Let's see who can nail it (I know what it is).

2 parallel line on the "reverse" I would think some kind of fire altar if your rotate 180 deg. The obverse who knows?

Judging the age based on patina I would think its ancient. Maybe a large bronze litra from Syracuse? Weight and diameter?

The flan looks a bit like a Ptolemy coin.

I thought so, maybe but coins flans are shaped? before / after striking? I suppose if its a smaller coin that would make sense. The patina is very thick which leads me now to believe the coin is BC. I dont think the flan has been shaped but rather cast before striking suggesting the Greek Mediterranean.

Ptolemaic was my first thought as well 'echizento' but no, it's not the feathers of an eagle, the images are the right way up. It's not from Syracuse - ~20mm diameter.

There is really little to go on here.

I fully agree. But on the other hand, once you know it is quite clear. I'll give it a little more time to see if 'Bob_L' or 'vermontensium' venture a guess, before I tell what it is.

No idea really. My first thought, though, was that the two horizontal bars might be either the base of a fire altar or steps below a cross potent.

Usually you are able to identify the oddest coins, but the horizontal bars are not what you had a guess at. But have a closer look, it's not just two.

I'm really having a hard time making anything out. There's not a seated figure on top of those horizontals, is there?

Not a funeral pyre, is it?

There is something on top (to the right side something which can be recognised), not a funeral pyre but something bigger,

my first thought was a ptolemy, maybe with the aphrodite reverse instead of an eagle. but usually the ptolemy coins are convex and the obverse and flat on the reverse. this one looks concave on the reverse. similar to this philip iv (or perseus?) coin with a lightning bolt reverse?

Okay, an hour has passed.
It's a post-reform quadrans, not enough detail to determine which variety but the lines are a galley.
