So I just bought the wrong coin thats what happens when I try multitasking while participating on online auctions. Any way, anyone here attended? What did you guys think of the realized prices?

I think it's evident that everyone should value their collection at 50% of trends.
But I've been saying that for 4 years now.

Yeah I agree. And I think some of them have been going for that much tonight. At least from the ones I watched carefully.

These quarters (#1641 range) aren't getting much action, some no bids at all...but it seemed earlier prices were strong....I think there is some buyer fatigue

I'm pretty fatigued.. and I'm just watching from the comfort of my own home.. I can go get a beer or rum at my discretion... I have the game on and I'm just happy.. but if all I had to do was sit there and listen to this carry on for the 16th hour.... I think I would be drained...

Im an online bidder, I've been waiting for my lot to come up for hours(#1854) I've been holding highest place since the beginning of the auction when people were going crazy bidding on it.
Feel free to call me Will.

Quote: I think there is some buyer fatigue I really is :S I feel like if auctions started with mid range stuff, then high end, then come back to your typical coins, they would get a lot more. There will definitely be fatigue by the time the big ones come out. Just my thought

Quote: That's what I'm counting on. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad thing for other buyers. I just feel like there would be more excitement that way. But I thing I got the two coins I won because of buyer fatigue. Only one was counterbid on, and just once

Some nice coins today but just too much for the market to absorb. I just blew my coin budget for the year.

Just got back from the session, much different night tonight. Lots of no sales and some very good deals. I think buyer fatigue and tapped out lack of funds set in.

I find this interesting it sure provides insight and a humble experience when the light shines on the true value of what I am attempting to amass. One of my brothers who gave up his collecting a few years ago after a 30 year plus run at it sent me a note telling to me to stay awake if I want to get a bargain now I know what he meant but alas I fell asleep at the switch. The 50% of trend value for a lot of the sales indicates to me that there should be a better method of publishing a price guide I couldn't run my business on this model. If I were a dealer I would have been there with money to invest for my business and good luck to those who added to their inventory, nothing wrong with that. I'msure in the future we will see a lot of this stuff upgraded from the USA TPG after all, a business is not a business if your not making a profit. I wish I could have made some bids I wanted but did manage to get a few and happy to be alive and part of the excitement-- helps with winter blues...

I had initially planned to bid only on the first night, the Landon section, obviously, that changed quite a bit when I was blown out of the water on most of the lots I was going for, I was able to grab some very nice pieces for quite a reasonable price...
I must say, I would not have wanted to been the consignor whose collection was following the Landon auction though...
