Large letter variety, VG-10 maybe F-12 with environmental damage. If it were a large cent I'd net grade it down to VG-8 because of the porosity.

according to PCGS values, any grade over an 8, I am in the black.

I did use verdi-care on it, I think I will let it sit in acetone over night.

Congrats on your first FE Cent!

Looks like a VG-8 Details (corrosion/porosity).

Forget price guides, especially PCGS prices.
They are not realistic of what's selling in reality.

Check auction results. For this coin, ebay would be a good indicator.

As long as you're happy with it that's all that counts. That happens to be my mantra today.

^ In the end, that's all that matters :)

If someone told you they never overpaid for a coin, they are lying.
I know I have..several times.
