Hello,

I lost an auction on this coin. I got a second chance offer. Seller might let it go for $80. What do you think?

The color does not appeal to my personal aesthetic ... but it might for you.

I suggest taking a pass and holding out for a nicer example in the same price range.

I loathe to say this .... PASS!
Please take Night-Hawk's advice and wait.
Very Fine Halves are difficult to locate for two reasons:
1) Most are worn slick
2) Problematic
It WILL cost you more, but 'you get what you pay for.'
The example has problems that will not go away,

When you have coins that are cleaned, dipped or otherwise ugly you need to ask yourself "Is this coin a good fit for my collection?". In my opinion this coin is too ugly for my collection. I'd prefer a lower grade coin that looks great but that's just me. A lot of times when I see a problem coin I ask myself "Would I be proud to post this coin on the Post Your Most Recent Purchase thread?" If not I pass.
