I don't see any obvious wear and surfaces look original and uncleaned. Might grade as high as MS-63 if luster is intact across the fields. Otherwise, AU-58 seems likely.

Obverse star radials are nearly complete which isn't the usual case for braided hair cents so the strike appears well above average.

Nice coin!

I'll go with AU-58. Unfortunately there is a big mark on the bust over the 1. I have to bring it down one net grade for that. Beautiful coin with beautiful color.
My EAC grade and attribution is 1854 N-13 R.3 58/55.

Look at 12:00 obverse. Unless the weak spot is a known artifact for the date, I'm afraid it might be considered sufficient damage to be of note. Observing the relevant area of the reverse, it almost looks like it might have been removed from a mount. On the other hand it certainly didn't circulate long enough for milk to spoil.
