Central obverse looks softly struck; typical for the issue, perhaps?
Looks like some luster persists at the rims. EF-45 seems reasonable.

XF40. Quite a bit of claw and beak wear.
Low contrast photo; a bit hard for these old eyes to see.

It's hard to grade these because they often have a weak strike. This one looks VF-35, or XF-40 to me.

I'm going out on a major limb here, but... AU-50.

The pics make it hard, but I think I detect a little luster in the protected areas around the devices. I'm basing my grade mostly upon the "look" of the coin, because as zxcccxz said this series is especially known for a lot of strike weakness, which can be easily mistaken for wear.

I will guess EF-40 but would be surprised if it graded it higher.

I'll say XF 45 on this one. Nice coin and does look to have some lust in the protected areas as pointed out before.

I'm thinking a bit lower than the rest - VF35.

I finally got one after being off on the past few guesses I've made. I like this CBH, a bit dark but really nice for such an old classic coin. I imagine these didn't circulate as much as lower denominations, .50 cents was a lot o money back in 1809.

I must say ANACS was hard on that one. There must be no luster anywhere and they knocked it down to VF. That's a meaty coin for a 35.
