Ran across this on ebay and passed on it as I did not believe it to be an S/D. It was represented as a 1950 S/D. Nobody got robbed, it sold for melt. But now I am wondering if it might have been tooled in a poor attempt at deceit. Any thoughts?
OK, I will back off of my thoughts that the seller (or someone prior to) tooled it. I thought those marks on the MM looked suspicious and it stuck in my mind. I have no idea why the seller would think it was an S over D. But no one was fooled, it went for $5.00 or so.
