I'm not familiar with Peace dollar VAMs but here is a link to the Clashed die attribution. Enjoy! http://www.vamworld.com/1922-P+...;Attribution

This looks to be a B1 Reverse. Difficult to tell from the image as the vital area below DOLLAR is unclear, but if it's a B1 it can't be VAM-5 which is the B2 Reverse. In 1922, only the VAM-1 series, 39, 40 & 46 are B1. We'd need to see the whole coin in detail to attribute it. It should be noted that clashing isn't a qualification for VAM designation on its' own, and not all varieties which have clashed examples are recorded. So, the clashing on this coin might not be an aid to attribution.

The curved die crack through the neck is a very common feature on Peace dollars. It must have been a stress point on the die because you can find a crack in that area on every Peace issue. Darn near 100% of dies eventually cracked in that area.
