She just came in the mail this morning.
They said it was in "At least F-12 condition." Personally, I think it's better than that. So I bought it at a little less than F-12 retail price.

That only leaves one more for the Type Book!
( Seated Liberty dollar 1866-1873)

Nice. I agree, it's better than F-12.

There's barely any wear into LIBERTY. No way F12 describes this one.

I say VF-30 about. Always good to get coins from those that under-grade.

I'll give this coin a sharpness grade of VF-30 but as a member of Early American Copper I have to drop it 1 net grade because of the odd coloration. This is die variety C-1, the only die variety for this year. So my EAC grade and attribution is 1851 C-1 R.1 30/25. Great Little Half Sister.

Nice coin. VF-30 EAC25-ish. Uncleaned which is my favorite way to find them!

Lovely coin.
It is lovely to receive under graded coins.
Maybe it is a honey trap to get you hooked on this dealer.

Decent coin and much better than F-12. To me the technical grade is XF-40 but then there's that discoloration in the NW obverse. So then you have an XF-40- ("-" meaning bottom third for the grade) and that's somethign that would value at VF-20 to VF-30 money. Because the price spread on Braided Hair Half Cents is so small this is coin that should bring VF-20 money.
