This is the ' Close AM' variety and is the less rare variety of that year.
Rest in Peace

Close AM means it looks like the A and the M are touching.

The Wide AM has a distinct space between the letters.

Yeah if you look at sat a 1990 it should be a Wide AM . The reverse of a proof coin was used on a business strike making the variety. But older coins all have a Wide AM If you want a point of reference 1998 ,1999, 2000 could have this error

Years from 1993 to 2008 could have the error.

Your coin is normal. This is what you are looking for http://varietyvista.com/1999PRDV0062%20cent.htm
The 99 is the most valuable of the three years 98 99 2000. I have found one 99 and lots of the others. Good luck on your hunt.
