Hi all, I am sorry I do not know if it's suitable to post here. I have an Indian Head cents album. How can I take the coins out of the album to see the reverses? I am curious about the other faces of them I can think of the only way is pressing the finger on the album to push them out. By the way, does the paper harm the coins after time? It's really humid in my location.

Album upside down over a soft t-shirt or something. Hold two fingers on either side underneath the coin and push it out downward with the other hand. Letting it drop onto soft cloth is fine for circulated coins like your album, perhaps not for Proofs. In your climate, your final storage layer should probably be food-grade ziplock bags with the air carefully pushed out of them. You're right in thinking some albums can provide some of the raw ingredients for toning, but you can drastically reduce the chance in all cases by minimizing exposure to the atmospheric oxygen which enables the reactions.

You can pop them out of the album by pressing on the back. Paper albums like this will dull and darken the coins over time, so you will want to remove them and put them in a better quality album (which will also let you see both sides of the coin.)

What you have is a folder, not an album. Albums provide easy access to see the reverse, but are more costly.

Thanks to all for your advice. I have tried to get some coins out and it worked alright Even I have asked about potential harm to the coins, I think that the coins are dark enough that they could not get darker I will still keep them in the folder to enjoy watching. Hope that I can complete it one day (thinking of some key dates )

Look at the Dansco branded albums, very nice and very easy to see both sides of the coin. Dansco seems to be a favorite album here on CCF. Eventually the folder will wear out if you pop coins in and out often, I have punched my finger through more than a few of the folders you have. Nice set by the way!

At the moment I am really pleased with the one I have. It's hard to find good accessories for coins here. We are going to welcome the traditional Lunar New Year in more than an hour

May not be possibly but if you can find a person from the USA, possibly a soldier, you could ask them to possibly have someone send you an Album. I doubt there are any coin stores in your country that sells USA coin items, so asking a person from the USA might work. Doesn't matter what brand, just an Album, not a Folder. Might be interesting to see if you could find a person that would help you over there. I am amazed that you could find US coins over there in Vietnam. Especially rare and older ones like yours. Keep us informed if you could find anyone to help. Not sure about postage but possibly someone on this forum could also help you.

I get most of my foreign coins, including US, from trades with partners who need my Vietnam coins. I keep most of my coins in 2x2 holders, or boxes
