Just a question about this.

The seller says that he doesn't take pictures of the "low end coins." How common is this? It is the first I have seen and it makes me a bit leery for obvious reasons. I don't know the seller and he may be really great but he does have some pics for coins starting around $7.00. I was just wondering how common this is in y'alls experience. I understand that it takes time to photograph, heck, I haven't even figured out how to yet but you think there would be a t least one pic of the coin.

I'm leery of that seller for reasons other than his choice of whether to take pics or not. Although I disagree with his choice not to take pics, be aware the guy currently has 2600 coins listed. That's a *lot* of pictures if you're going to shoot each one.

His Feedback of 99.7% seems good until you consider the volume; he's received 15 Negatives in the last year alone. Perhaps it's because he calls obviously-circulated coins "Brilliant Uncirculated" when the price differential for MS is huge:

This is only my opinion, of course, but this seller is on my "never deal" list.

Person is also on my 'never deal with' list. Might as well wait until someone overpays from him and then realizes they have to sell it for less than half what they paid later on.

Out of fairness he does add, "JUST SEND IT BACK FOR EXCHANGE OR 100% REFUND. I STAND BEHIND MY COINS."

It's a four dollar coin and free shipping. For me taking even mediocre pictures is a pain in the butt. It couldn't be worth it for a $4 coin, but then, I wouldn't sell a $4 coin on ebay anyway.

I made it a rule, to never buy something without looking at it first. Even with the refund, you still have to go through the hassle of receiving the coin, disliking it, then sending it back and waiting for a refund. I'd pass on this one. It doesn't seem worth the time or effort.

To add to what Spider said, for a $4 coin I think ebay is too much hassle period. For worn common dates, just go to any coin shop. Look at it in hand and pick it up the same day. ebay is great for scouring the earth looking for a hard to find coins.

I understand the volume of sales he does and taking pictures can be a pain but if I couldn't be bothered with taking a quick shot of the coin I probably couldn't be bothered selling the coin either. The 100% satisfaction guarantee is good but I think he can do this because not very many people will be returning a 4 dollar coin to start with and its just another way to get his feedback looking better. I can be hard on sellers on ebay and I am really trying to work on that but I wouldn't sell a coin that I couldn't take a picture of to atleast let the person see what to expect when they receive the coin

I have bought coins without pictures ,, OBW Rolls of lincolns or just rolls of lincolns ,,But If I'm looking for a specific coin for one of my sets I want to see it first .

but bad or hurried pictures are as bad as no picture and have been judged by most of us as trying to hide something ,, so in that case no pictures are better as long as there is a good return policy it all works out the same .
