I enjoy collecting Canadian coins from the cent through the quarter. But have many problems determining just what coins have been minted each year. Am I the only one that finds that the coins minted is a disjointed collection of small lists. I have referenced numerous web sites and a few books or catalogs and they all seem to be the same. Especially the quarters. There are lists for circulating, non-circulating, commemoratives, series/specials/sets and then a few mules also. It makes for coming up with a all inclusive list very difficult at best.
Is anyone aware of a site or book that lists all coins of each denomination in order?

The coins and Canada site is the best, it lists most circulation coinage and the major varieties, but if you are looking for specific numbers for varieties like mules, I have not heard of any place that has this info. for another source for circulation mintages you can always look on the RCM site here: http://www.mint.ca/store/mint/about....VOYRuWd0yUk

@dryflycaster, may I ask you if you know of such a list for U.S. coins? I was asking in another thread about them and found the same as you, (disjointed collection of small lists), or not in numerical order. I'mlooking for all the ones to keep, errors, varieties, dd's etc.

Hi dfc,
One of thes best reference guides for the Canada coin is the Charltons Standard Catalogues it has a lot of the picture and the different varieities with all the dates and mintages number.
You can buy these often found on the ebay.
But just remembered that the prices listed in it are usual not even close to actual market values.
Good luck,
Gilles

If the RCM would stop putting out NCLT commemorating 47th or 126 year anniversaries or people who never set foot in Canada or little kid's drawings, then you would find everything in Charlton's. If you are into quarters, then wait for the Vol 1 Charlton with the 25 cent varieties in the back. It should be out in the next few years.

There is also TRENDS which is printed in CCN... they have a bit more realistic prices but for common coins you can still find most at 70% trends...
As for books I'm also impressed with Haxby's book of tokens and Canadian decimal coinage...
