Too hard to tell authenticity from those pics. The rims on both have taken a beating, too.

Suggest you weigh 'em and then conduct comparative ring tone tests with known good coins. That should give you an idea.

You can also send 'em off to ANACS for grading and authentication.

They are pretty beat up, and may not be worth the grading fees. Can't tell from photos if they are authentic.

A Trade dollar should weigh 27.2 grams.

I see nothing really alarming except the very bottom of the reverse of the Philadelphia coin - looks like a die crack or lamination and either are unexpected there. The beating they've taken in circulation counts in their favor to me.

The top coin concerns me. Can't put my finger on it but I'd not touch it with a ten foot pool when there are plenty of other nice coins out there.

VF and F...I would never buy one unless it
was third party graded by PCGS,NGC or ANACS
too many fakes!
