Hi folks.
I think this is my 1st post of 2015. Where does the time go!!
Anyway, I always like to put posers on this site as I know you are all very knowledgeable and I hope that applies to these 2 coins.
The 1st one 20mm at the moment but may have been a bit bigger originally but it is VERY thick. (getting on for 5mm) That made me think it was Byzantine, but I dont think so now. Definitely, Provincial Roman. I thought there would be enough of a legend to identify it easily. Famous last words, it has been anything but.

This next one is another Provincial and apologies for the obverse but it may be better with the reverse. I was just hoping someone might recognize the portrait.

Many thanks to you all.
Cheers.

I believe the second coin is a Roman Provincial of Severus Alexander from Marcianopolis, Moesia Inferior with Nemesis on the reverse holding a rod and possibly scales with a wheel at her feet

The very top coin shows two emperors - on one side, Aurelian, the roman emperor, and on the other, Vaballathus, a Usurper who siezed a large section of the empire. Where they are found they arent terribly rare, but Vaballathus is a quite rare emperor so its quite a popular issue.

Hi.
Thanks for all your help everyone.
I think it is this one shown on Wildwinds. It has this write-up:
-----------------
Roman Egypt, Aurelian and Vabalathus, Potin Tetradrachm struck Year 1 of Aurelian, Year 4 of Vabalathus and Zenobia, 270 AD. Alexandria. 8.30g. Laureate and draped bust of Aurelian rt. / Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Vabalathus rt. Milne 1735.
EF and a very handsome example, which can be hard to find for this issue.
