I'm not a colonial copper expert, but it could be that low for a variety of reasons.

1. It could be a fake.
2. The ad might not be attracting too many bidders.
3. Maybe the serious bidders are waiting for the last hour before they bid.

Not being an expert on Colonials the only comment I can make about the coin is that it looks like it's got some corrosion on the date side. The red flag for me is the way they are holding the coin to photograph it. When I see someone holding a coin like that all I can think about is the fingerprints & oils they are putting on the coin. If they will hold a coin like that what else have they done to the coin?

It is a dog with no eye appeal. The striations may be natural but they still are ugly and detract from its value. There are plenty of Mass cents with normal planchets. The hype is scary - the coin is not beautiful or gorgeous or smooth. There is visible corrosion in the obverse legends. With most of the letters in "COMMON" gone, it is a stretch to say it has full XF details. There is a serious rim bump on the obverse at 6:00. It barks at me, and with the seller saying the opposite of what you can see, I'd wait for a better one.

In spite of the obvious problems, I think the final sale price of $102.50 + $7 shipping (I'd add insurance too!) is pretty fair. Personally, I'd probably prefer a strong vg/f with no problems to that one.
