Interesting little video about our famous dime here at Coin World: http://www.coinworld.com/videos/201...9-2015.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://www.coinworld.com/videos/201...-9-2015.html The first step Mr. Gibbs gives to this being a success is "A lot of 'em are gonna have to be found" ! So I am sending lucky vibes to everyone who is actively searching!

Just wanted to thank ANACS, Paul DeFelice, and Christian for getting this done for me so fast. I really appreciate you reaching out to me for this. The dime was on this week's cover of Coin World, among other places - hopefully that will be the nudge to get collectors checking their own coins and hit the shows this weekend to find more.

I'm surprised they didn't use the "Discovery Coin" label they use for other varieties. Now, we have to find more, so you can have a market for yours.

Only real update I have - Piece #3 was reported yesterday from a dealer in Nebraska, found in a bulk over the counter purchase. Probably a VG-8 example. Lots of show reports of searching in the last few months, but not a lot of finding. Anybody else having any luck, or at least fun looking for these? #3 -

Same thing happened with the new B1 Morgan reverse a few years back - people started finding them (and a second new B1) in their collections, having overlooked them the first time around because they "knew" what VAM it was. Never stop looking. I'm the one who first saw that new B1, because I never stop looking with fresh eyes. You can too.

I've got an entire roll of those but just thought my eyes were getting to see doubles. And all in MS shape. Yeah, right. I did look through lots of my Mercs and not even one. I printed this all out for a dealer I see at coin shows all the time. He saves any great all FSB Mercury dimes for me. When I gave him the article about the 45 Merc with all FSB being rare, he almost went into shock. Never knew they were anything at all.

I believe I have found the 4th example of this Doubled Die!! I was at a local coin show today and browsing through the entire exhibit. It was pretty small only around 30 dealers or so. I then decided to check out Mercury dimes. I had remember reading this post on here about the 1919 DDO new discovery. So the second dealer I came across had a binder of dimes. I opened it up and he had a total of 4 1919-P dimes in it. The first was graded G, the second VG, the third F and finally the last one EF. I started with the lowest first and got to the third dime and examined it. It was not a DDO. I then thought to myself "Wouldn't it be cool if the last one in his binder was "THE ONE"? I pulled it out and examined it. I thought "Oh My God! No Way!!" I then handed it to the dealer and asked him how much he wanted for it. I agreed to the price and paid him. Here are the photo's of the dime.

to CCF jtlee321, I wish my 1st post as a CCF member was as exciting as yours is here. and you might want to request that J.P. Martin, the senior ANACS grader and consultant to the U.S. Secret Service, personally grade/authenticate this. For these type of certs. ANACS really is the 'best bang for your buck:' http://www.anacs.com/contentPages/Services.aspxIMHO
