Looks slightly circulated, AU-58.

I'm going to go out on a limb a little. My guess is PR-62. The coin has mirror surfaces. The rims and date look sharper than on a business strike. The fields seem to have its share of impairments like hairlines.

Does have that Proof look to it, but I don't think the date position is correct for a Proof. I'd say AU55 should be PL but according to PCGS they have never certified any PL or DMPL Morgans of 1898 below a MS60 grade. Looks a lot like an 1878-S B1 reverse I had and sold to Larry Briggs.

A MS61PL details cleaned could also be warranted, but I think the hairlines are more from light circulation than cleaning.

I'm also of the opinion that this is a PL coin, toned, of very high grade. I'll say MS-66 PL. Tough one!

Looks like I got to this one too late, but I don't see anything that is screaming to me that this coin is cleaned. I was going to say MS66 PL.
