mbisc New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 02/27/2015 10:57 am Just found this site -- have been collecting coins since I was a little boy. I am not super-serious about it, though. Mostly a matter of opportunities. Some contemptary coins from whereever I lived or places I visited, some purchases of odds and ends (mostly in the low value area), just like I do with my other collecting hobbies, like collecting antiquities from around the world. Grew up in Germany, and in my home town, there were a couple of cool coin shops with stuff that is really far out there (or so it seemed to me ). Recently (re-)discover a coin album from the 1980s (when I was young) with all kinds of unusual coins that I never bothered to identify. E.g. I appear to have an Umayyad coin from around 700 and an Indian coin from 1200 (total value, maybe $10, but that's okay). Also have about a dozen Roman coins that I need to do some research on... All this stuff is in an album made of pure PVC probably so I need to repack them... Report this Post to the Staff
