So I just bought these beauty's from a coin shop that had anything you could ask for. Think I got em for a great price too (I hope.) so my question is about the red and blue fibers that help determine authenticity. They seem to be only in a line going from the top of the bill to the bottom. One on the left center and one "strip" on the right center side. I thought they were supposed to be scattered about the bills randomly?

That's the way they often came.

The fibers were randomly added to the paper during the paper manufacturing process. Sometimes they run in bunches in strips. Sometimes they are few and very scattered. (Old time counterfeiters would add the colored fibers to counterfeit notes by using colored pencils!)

Your notes are genuine. They both appear to be higher grades with the $1 looking like it may be AU/UNC and the $10 being VF/XF.

Nice pickups!
