I purchased this as an 1802, but after receiving it, I'm not sure it's an 1802. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks. Ed

1802 S-225 R.4 3/3. That was an easy one ED. S-225 is the only 1802 where the 1 touches the hair. It also happens to be an R.4. Unfortunately it only grades AG-3 so there is no premium for the rarity. Thanks Ed I love any reason to pull out Penny Whimsy.

P.S. It's a cent. The "ONE CENT" on the reverse is the best clue.

Ya know I'm not sure if I edited my OP before you posted this or not. It was a duh moment when I realized it said ONE CENT.....what a clue. I was blinded by dollar signs when I looked up an 1802 Half Cent and saw it was worth a bazillion $$$$$. If you look at the fraction on mine it actually looks like a "200."

I was also just going to ask if there was enough detail to attribute it, and you beat me to it. Can't thank enough. Guess I did ok for the $20 shipped, I threw at it. Might even be problem-free but not holding breath on that one. Will take AG03 all day long. Seller said "poor condition." I saw lots of details so I went for it.

Go buy a couple cases of beer - if all you gave for this was a Twenty then you have spare money in your pocket that should have been spent.
