1999 Cent Struck Thru Or Worn Out? - Coin Community Forum

Sleaklight Pillar of the Community United States 827 Posts	Posted 10/05/2007 7:34 pm I have this cent which it doesn't appear to be worn down, there's no evident scratches. And the cent is as if it came out of a roll of new cents, just had some gunk thrown on it. So I am wondering I the faded word "states" is a result of being struck thru something or if that part wore down to rubbing with something? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/05/2007 7:51 pm Struck through grease. Happened a lot during that time. I always sought to find the ones without the dstick through.
