Thank you carnold - now I'm afraid to ask (curiosity has got me). Worth a buck or two? I will upgrade once I get into the Buffalos (which after this CRH yield should be rather soon). But nice to put a $ on a CRH find.

If you could turn up an S on the reserve it would be worth a few bucks. Otherwise, probably a buck or two. I don't even know if the mint mark will be salvagable on that one.

Worn smooth, but I gave myself eyestrain for good measure.

The 1915 just came out of the bath...no mint mark on that one either. I went to place it in my 'pickled nickel' collection to find that I already had one. I need to find specimens with dates on them...mint marks too!

Just another dateless t-1 1913 nickel worth 11 to 13 cents at the wholesale level. If you find a mintmark on it some eBayer might pay a few dollars for it. Once it gets acid treated it becomes a cull and the wholesale value approaches face value ...especially if there is no mintmark.

Cool find, although I'd only pay about $1 for one in this condition.

Maybe .40 cents at this one shop that I went too. He sells them cheaper then the 1930's ones with a date.

I see folks post these and 13Ss from time-to-time on the board at the local coin store. I'm usually browsing for Jeffersons though so I don't pay close attention. I'm almost done with the Jeff set, so these and Indians will be more the focus by year's end. Prices commensurate with coin and grade, but usually knocked down 20-40%.
