I wonder how much the cost would be to give all cents a double coating of copper like they do with all the proof cents? I'd imagine these zincolns would at least last a little longer and mabi withstand the tiniest dings like they cannot now...

Not sure if it was cleaned in any way. Just found this one the other day. Looked interesting so I snagged it. L the gold caught my eye.

Any way you look at it, the coin has had enough hard times. It's earned the right to spend its' remaining days (which look numbered) quietly in a collection. Sealed very tightly.

Store it in mineral oil? But why? The oil is probably worth more than the coin.
