And, (rookie mistake) I should add that I am in the starting phases of serious numismatics, and my collection is limited, and sporadic... But, I have done a lot of numismatic/historical reading, in general. I am a huge fan of any works by Adolph Weinman... Basically, if it has a story behind it, I respect it - then try to collect it!

Stayed at a cabin in hot springs and the ride from ohio to SD was awesome-driving out there on roads like that I can drive for days!

I'm from a small town in Wisconsin. Around fifteen years ago I purchased twenty or so pennies, Two Cent coins and silver dollars from ebay. I was hoping to find some answers here as to if I bought real coins or replicas after I read about some phony flying eagles. I enjoy coins but I am about as novice as they come so any answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi all. I live in Darnestown, Maryland, USA. Been collecting coins for fifty years, although with a thirty year hiatus for high school, college, grad school, family and job. Still committed to the last two, and have rediscovered my passion for numismatics (a blessing and a curse). Much has changed. The scope of experience and expertise in CCF is fantastic... I'm in.
