Thirdly: I studied history and geography at the higest level in senior high school. When I travelled India to Europe (took six months to do that), in my mid twenties, I was really able to appreciate the countries I was travelling through, as a direct result of what I had learned in school. Since then, the history study has continued, and it is a huge boost to my appreciation of the coins I collect, from ancient to modern, of all cultures. I suggest you SHOULD collect coins, as an illustrative form of supporting documentation to the study of history. The two studies are complimentry. I have a niece who is reading for a pHd in Roman sociology. A study of Roman coins has certainly helped her. Report this Post to the Staff
