Hi guys,
I just received a copy of the Overton half dollar book, 2nd ed.
With much excitement I began to look up my 1827 dollar
that I bought cheap many years ago. I never saw it before,
I think I have an 1827 O-101,diagnostics match,
The pix were photoshopped to reduce color,to make die cracks and overdate clearer.
On rev the die crack running through the leaves,50c to the arrows is clear, the one runnung through united stat is hard to see in pix
but its there.
the overdate, something is going on but I cant tell for sure.
Can anyone help me confirm this? What would you grade this,$?
Appreciate the help

I don't think I need to take out the book on this one. You can see the overdate clearly in your pics, the T-I are in the right places, the cracks are apropos, the seven has the appropriate look. Looks like the overdate to me. I'm pretty sure it's still classified R.2.

If there's any dissent, I'll crack out the book and double check. Nice one.

I'd grade this VF-30. Sadly, I am Overton-ignorant.

Agree with the attribution. Looks to be in the 25/30 range to me. Nice coin.

I believe that you have hit it on the head as well. Gradewise I would say VF30. Nice coin.
