I guess I will introduce myself at the same time. I love collecting the 1 cent series and the 50 cent series as well as Newfoundland coins to be more specific the 1 cent, 5 cent, 10 cent and 20 cent series.

Spoke to seller he said he purchased it for 100$ in the February 2010 coin auction and was lot #1.
At least now I have a idea of what the thing is worth.

to CCF!! I know very little about the value of older numismatic literature, sometimes, I am floored at the prices old auction catalogues receive, other times, like the Canadian Currency Museum library auction several years ago, stuff went for almost nothing...

Also, I noticed in your profile that you are from Ottawa (which is where I am from). Are you a member of the Ottawa Numismatic Society? Perhaps we may even know each other, Ottawa is a small city...

Have any of you guys ever seen another Canadian coin news volume 1 number 1?
I wonder if the people at the publishing office even own one.

I have 2 complete old years of Canadian Numismatics Journal (1960 & 1964) that have some great articles from Griffin, Shafer, CHarlton and lots of Token stuff. Except for a little yellowing, they are crisp and clean. I've been trying to find a home for them for 3 years, since I have too much stuff.

Hard to give away old CN Journal stuff, when it is all available online to RCNA members for free...

I had a friend find this book while cleaning out his rental garage. He remembered I collected coins and gave it to me. Some of the prices are crazy like an EF 1948 dollar for 60$
