Cool-Serial-Number-On-$100-Bill

Got this at the bank today. The serial number has a date of what seems to be February 6th, 1778. This was the date that the Treaty of Alliance was signed in France. Guess who was there? Benjamin Franklin.

Save it or spend it?

You could sell it if you write up an essay on it and frame it. But you'd have to wait for the right customer to come along....and even then....

I'm not seeing it. 1778? Check. 2? Check. Where's the other two?

Whoops, I had the wrong date. It's the 6th, not the 2nd. My bad

That bill appears to be from an uncut sheet, serial numbers don't normally go that high.

Interesting sell, but I am not buying. Not because of the story, but because I do not have $100+ to give.

Kidding aside, go spend it on something nice.
