Great to see collector happy with his acquisition. This is very nice looking coin, congrats!
I do not specially collect dollars, but looks like people distinguish between Silver Dollars and Loons collection. So where to this one will join - SDs or Loons?

@silverdollarnuts: Nice piece! Congrats! Quote: I do not specially collect dollars, but looks like people distinguish between Silver Dollars and Loons collection. So where to this one will join - SDs or Loons? For me, I confine my SD collection to the 36mm coins. This removes the 26.5 mm "Loonie" coins - standard and silver - from my collecting quest! I don't include the 38mm Two Loons coin from 2012 either.

I have a complete collection of loon dollars (including the scarcer silver ones) - but I won't be buying this hockey puck...

I like it. Nice catch. I am a dollar nut as well, however, this one at $550 will not make the team. A full collection of Canadian dollars of every type and variety would be an impressive feat.

My collection of loon dollars is almost complete (including the scarcer silver ones) and I consider this a must have!

i take the list off J&M coins, they list all the SD and the two loons and the 5oz are included in it....but I dont consider them as commem's SD, I know the Charlston book considers de two loons part of the commem's SD

Nice is it 36 mm or larger I collect all as well , it is harder than you would think, silver loons for sure are tuff, odd diameters turn me off, like the bird series 25 cent, nice ,but larger then standard 25 cent piece, not a must have as a 25 cent collector . I guess its the amount of departure from circulating

Nice "Hockey Puck"! In my books that scores much better than the Toronto Make ya Laffs!
