I found this quarter in my change at work yesterday. I don't think it's worth anything, I just haven't seen one like it before and I'm curious. As the title says it's a 2005 Oregon State Quarter. It has gold plate on it but only on the mountains and tree lines of the reverse. The face and reverse are also coated in glass, but not the edging. Any information is appreciated.

Sounds like an after market enhancement. But can't help without pictures

to the Community!

Probably just enhanced and sold at a premium by a third party (not done by the mint).

However much it cost, it is likely only worth a quarter.

I agree with everyone else. Probably just a colorized/plated quarter. Lots of them online. I got one in change a while back.

Still worth keeping, I'd say.
I mean, its only a quarter.
