They are really nice looking coins. I subscribed to them too. Not much talk about them though, compared to the moon mask coins.

That is a beauty for a new issue! The only small complaint , if you are going to make a replica do it as it WAS. I know today we are a bi lingual country and the original coin was in English only , which does not work today. That said what a great two coin set they could have done one in English only and a neat reverse proof in French only. That would be awesome!

Thank you, Shopaholic! The coin is so nice and the pictures are great. Makes me to want to buy all the sub, an not selected designes. This is clearly good subscription/set from RCM. Not much talks ( as about Masks) cause all more or less clear - familiar and good design, not expected to be hot, distributed as a subscription and single coins, mintage average for RCM coins. Just very good

Silveroid Gotta agree with you fully on your point... Not a heck of a lot of chat on this set...perhaps becuz its very straight up no nonsense predictable yet superbly crafted... Some of the best original circulation designs were directed to the nickels of the past and here we will get them in 40mm blow ups, in all their original glory with gold enhancements and a nice box to boot... Could they replicated any other circulation denomination from the past as varied as the nickels...? The Mint will try I bet but will be hard pressed to pull it off like they are with this legacy of the nickels series.

As bilingual as I am, I agree. If I were to get tired of box that is given with the sub, I would like to display each of them next to their circulation coin. It would have been nice to get exact replicas. Nonetheless, this series is great and I don't know why it didn't get as much attention as I expected. Just got shipping confirmation of the second coin this morning

I think this series looks great. My coin #2 should arrive tomorrow. If I am not mistaken, this one is the only coin in the series that would be different than the original due to bilingual issues.

The coins look good, I didn't buy them since RCM cant seem to list the total mintage of the sets/subs to be released, but eh , whatever.

Northern Coin, You can only buy these in the subscription set, so unless they have a bunch of people opt out, and they sell off random coins after the series is over, I don't see these being available separately.
I think there will be a total of 8500 of each coin.

The mint has not release images of the other 4 coins yet correct? Will there be a tombac version? IMO they need to do the V, the rabit, the beaver, the 6th coin though would they do a complete gold plated to mimic the goldish tombac look? or would they do one like the commemorative 51 with the nickel mine?
I got the note in my box to go and pick my 2nd coin up from the PO and am excited to get this in hand.
The box is supposed to come with this coin as well, so that's a bonus.

My second coin arrived today with the box. I guess only the first one comes with a clamshell and subsequent ones will just be in cardboard.

I think there will be a total of 8500 of each coin. I know this but like I have said a few times before, no one knows the true mintage of the set/subs when they offer a mixture of singles and subs/sets like this. Some dont care about this which is fine, but for me to buy a "sub" I want to know the max amount of sets/subs/boxes offered or I am just not interested. There are many other lower mintage sets, coins available from other mints , so as long as they continue "not" to set/list a max subscription amount I will buy elsewhere, that is how I prefer to collect, based on Mintages, very rarely now I will buy a coin/set that has a high mintage. If you like these coins then thats great, but I need to more then just "like" a coin to put top dollar into NCLTs as there are just too many coins being produce from all mints. One big reason as well for me is that "someday" I will need to sell my coins , some sooner then later. Just what will I put on the "set" for mintage say a year from now? 8500 is the only figure the RCM has listed. Super Dumb on the Mints part.
