Lucky! It has color to it and it's slabbed by NGC...it should go for more than $26. Congrads.

I think that is a great price! Looks nice but you will have to post some better pics once you get it!

I'll take some higher quality pics when it arrives. Would you break it out of the holder is the real question? These slabs just don't fit into my choice of displaying them in my binder. I like to put them in airtites, then into a 2x2, then into my binder pages so everything is nice and ordered. Anyone looking at the pages can see my Lincolns year by year in order right now.

I would take some photographs of it in the slab, and then cracker it out and put it with the rest of your collection. I would also keep the label and all of this would make it easier when you want to sell it. If you don't plan on selling it in the near future then crack it out.

the coin is not the worst, but the spots would bother me.... I would not suggest cracking it out since there is value in the slab.... for the price paid it is a good deal....

I think you got it pretty cheap. The services are not too generous if the coin has any spots. Carbon can easily knock a coin down 1 or 2 points.

Got it today, it's a nice looking coin but the slab is pretty scratched up. It's really hard to take good pics of a coin in slab, yet alone a scratched up one: Image: 1942Proof.jpg70.87 KB Here's an angled shot, you can see the purple toning (I like it): Image: 1942ProofPurple.jpg74.04 KB Image: 1942ProofRev.jpg78.34 KB
