I was just wondering what you all thought of these type set holders from Capital. http://store.capitalplastics.com/se...etail?no=958 I think more people do 7070 albums but I wanted to start off with something a little cheaper and easier to complete. Does anyone have this set? How do you like it? Just looking for some opinions. Also I have most of the coins to put in this set already but I think this holder is a little pricey. Just wondering if its worth it. Thanks

I don't have Capital holders, but I hear they are very good. A bit out of my price range. Looking at the openings for each of the 1999 State Quarters got me to thinking ... will Capital's 21st Century Type Coins holder be a 10'x30' plaque, delivered by tractor trailer? (state quarters, Presidential dollars, and whatever else they come up with over the years)

You do not need the name brand capital holder. You can get individual year holders for around 3 dollars. Just use them and come up with sets on your own. Don't waste your money in junk plastic when you can be spending them on the coins!

Bilbo, you bring up an interesting point. I'm glad I won't be around to worry about that one Lucifer, I didn't ask how to save a few dollars. The information I'm after is the quality of Capital holders. I collect because I enjoy the hobby, not as an investment or to "make a quick buck". I know I will enjoy my collection more if they are in a nice album or holder of some sort.

Hey! No fair copying me! That's the exact holder I just ordered. I liked the Capital holders for ease of addition / changes to the coins they hold. A couple of screws and you can add or upgrade quite easily. Also, the smaller ones I've got are built like tanks.

I have had Capital Holders for decades, and they have held up well over the years.

They make for a nice presentation for sure, but I don't like how they seal. Sure doesn't seem like an air tight seal to me, I have one and I took all my proofs out of in favor of airtite containers. My advice, if you use one, you should seal in a ziplock with a dessicant pack for storage.

I have three (Lincoln proofs, Jefferson proofs, and a Shield nickel one that might be by capital but most likely a knockoff). I like them but I've only had them for a few months.

Amazon99, I have been looking at your icon for GOD knows how long now and I have always wondered if that Turban head eagle is one from your collection or just some picture you got from somewhere else

Nope, it's not mine it was supplied by coin community (so I guess Mom and Dad are hording them). I've always wanted one, but It's going to take a LONG time before I buy one. They're too much, maybe if I win the lotto. Actually I was thinking of changing it to one of my Shield nickels but I didn't like how they were losing their detail when I cropped them down to size.
