one cent has doubling on most of the letters

I see nothing to indicate that the coin is a doubled die .

I do however see something that could be deteroration or Mechanical Doubling on a few of the devices .

Machine Doubling from what I see. Usually when you see the same doubling on date, mint mark and reverse it is Machine Doubling.

There is no die doubling on this coin. Mechanical Doubling, yes. Die Doubling ...no.

Your use of D/D to note a doubled die is nothing but confusing. It is improper. D/D notes a D over D repunched mintmark. It is not a proper abbreviation for a doubled die. Doubled dies are abbreviated DDO or DDR, with the difference being whether it is on the obverse or the reverse.
