I plucked this Dime from circulation recently. The obverse looks fine. The reverse is a different story. The D and the M in dime are barely visible and the I is nonexistent. When you look at the dime from the side, there is a definite indentation.

These are the best pictures I could come up with.

I appreciate any comments.

Looks like some nasty acid treatment

Its not acid. It is a classic example of a coin struck through a heavy layer of grease. This is a nice example as it clearly shows a larger area that was affected. That being said, I would like to get a view of the obverse too:-)

Looks like the reeded edge has a bit of effect from it. Tis why I thought somethin acidy

The rim is not bent. If you look at the shadow on the first photo, you can see the indentation. The Obverse looks quite normal.

I will post a picture of the obverse as soon as I can.
