LOL, I'm equally concerned with why a someone trying to sell coins would put games in the listing and not just in the listing, at the top of the listing before the product they came in to see! Or use colors and fonts that would give a lot of people a headache.

It needs finishing off with a hole drilled in it and chain soldered onto it.

Maybe some one did it a long time ago, or maybe the obverse was severely damaged. It's also possible that a complete lunatic got their hands on that coin.

The coin looks genuine to me: a common-date Indian $10 gold piece that someone decided to paint. Since it's already reduced to the value of the gold content, I would be tempted to experiment with solvents to see if the enamel could be removed. It might be possible to restore it to a fairly decent appearance if the enamel could be dislodged without further damaging the underlying surfaces.

the coin looked to be harshly cleaned before it took a painting, I also see nothing that would indicate that this coin was fake. Even though it has been cleaned I would still try everything I could to get that ugly off of it

Yes, yes they did color it as a white guy. That's just horrible but thanks for sharing. Dang.

Acetone will remove it. I bought three ASEs that had been sold on one of those TV promos where lady liberty had been painted or enameled with the American Flag. I am sure you have all seen them. Got them at an auction and they had been taken out of their holders and were fairly rough. Anyway, a quick trip to the acetone and it was gone. Yup, this coin is rough, but considering how it looks, a trip to the bath would help it a lot. Jim
