Wouldn't that be a "tri" metallic?

It does look like a tri-metallic however the ebay seller only called it bi-metallic (Gold and Silver).

May have to look into it a bit further.

Have been told that this could have been given out to school kids at the time the Queens Jubilee.
Does anyone know of this medallion?

I discovered another medal of the same type with IRB-style effigy of the Queen:

Looks like one was issued with 1952-style head of the Queen, another with 2002-style head.

I think it probably was given out to school kids, when I was growing up we got one of the 25p crowns given out at school which popped up (after I had bought one) If given to kids it will never be worth much!

bm1947, I found the other trimetallic medal here:

Scroll to somewhere in the middle. The page is an old one, but you can try to contact the guy who was selling the item... see if he still has it, or if he has more info about its origin.
