Sir/Madam, may I know what type of Iran coin this is? The face of the shah is present but the denomination isn't.

It's a medal, probably issued to commemorate the 2500th anniversary of the Persian monarchy. The Iranian mint was in the habit of making very "coin-like" medals, with similar (but not identical) dies to the ones used for proper coinage.

The date is 1350 (which would be 1971; that side of the medal is upside down). Sap already wrote what it commemorates; the medal depicts the stone or seal of Cyrus II which can also be found on the 75 rials silver coin issued on that occasion.

I discovered that the medal(or a non-denominational coin; I'm not sure) was issued together with another piece struck in gold by the National Bank of Iran in 1971 to commemorate the 2500th anniversary of the Persian empire. These two are part of the first type of the commemorative coins and are more commonly available.

The second type was struck in France in Proof quality and has denominations on each coin. They were made in limited quantities, with their details in Krause book.
