Check out the reverse of this cent. Most steps are missing and the columns are off and not complete. Are many 2006 cents this sloppy and is anyone collecting these or are they just too common?

The lines your are pointing out is part of the design to show depth. Check others to see. Now if you not referring to the vertical lines, then a reexamination might be needed?

The arrow on the right side points to an incomplete line- it doesn't go all the way to the bottom. Most of the steps are filled from a filled-die maybe?

Hi Thingee
can I see the obverse ?

is there a corresponding flat spot on lincolns head ?

your coin looks like a very weak strike ,, the step details and lincolns head being the higher points for their respective sides would be the most affected by such a strike.

the thing to find in the 05-06 is a coin that is in good shape. it was a very bad two years for the mint and most of the cents are bad.your coin is normal as fare as I can see.
