Gee, I wonder why nobody is bidding on this wonderfully pictured 1972 DDO, starting bid only $150!

Seller says: "Hard to find!"
How about: Hard to see!

"GREAT COIN! WISH I COULD HAVE GOT A BETTER PICTURES."
Yeah, me too!

"valued between $190-$450."
Not like that!

I just posted a couple single coins up on ebay, and I think my picture quality is about 2 pixels better than the one you were commenting on.

What is the solution. Does everyone else use a scanner instead of a camera to post pictures? Just wondering? I figure it is just a matter of time before my listings show up here

I sometimes turn my camera up to 8MP so I can blow it up without distorting the image. For variety coins I found that the camera lens is about the same size as my 12X loupe, If I put the magnifier right up to the lens of the camera it is able to focus and magnify the image at very close range. I found that with scanned images you can miss a lot of details, if the coin is BU and shiney the bright light reflecting can cover up seperation lines etc. I just recently discovered this, check out the pictures in my topic from a couple days ago "help again 1962 Lincoln"

Try using a macro lens on your camera.

If you have a macro feature on your camera that would help. Another thing that might work is increase your image size to the largest so you would be able to cut the image down to the size you wish cropping the unwanted areas you don't need. Also save the image (If you are using a scanner)increase your DPI to a higher setting, crop unwanted areas, save at a higher setting so you don't loose quality on your image. Sometimes I notice that the image looks great on my computer, but when you load it, if the save settings are high enough, quality of image suffers. Not on your computer, but from your image host.

What is wrong with learning something about what you are trying to sale before selling it.? I always found if I know something about it I may make more money on it lol

The sad part about the 1972 DDO's are that there are some from all three mints that have the same master die doubling on them. They were at one time listed, but the designation was removed. a large number of these makes a Master die doubled one, just a regular coin.
