Great coin, AN. I love the reverse on these. Congrats.

I just recently started branching into Kushan AE's. Picked up a nice Vima Kadphises about a week back (below). I'm gonna have to look for one of these Oado reverses at some point in the future...very cool.

The detail on the Windgod is excellent, you can make out his cape.
Too bad there is only a few of us here that appreciate these type of coins. There is a lot of history that could be learn by studying these empires.

In the coin shop I bought most of my big silver at, back in April 2011, there was also a Kushan coin offered, for what I recall being a three-digit price (which, at the time, meant about $25).
The Kushan coin supposedly pictured "the deity Vado" (I don't recall if anything else was mentioned). I knew nothing about Kushan mythology, had never heard of such a deity, and wasn't yet particularly interested in ancients anyway, so I ignored that coin (and bought some other ancients elsewhere eventually, for lower prices).

...It was still there last time I checked (sometime late 2013); with some luck - and considering that shop's apparent tiny turnover - it might still be there now. If it's really that cool I might well buy that coin one day.
