It appears that coins being shipped from the UK are not making it here to the US. I have had this happen and few times, and I heard from one or two other folks that they had not received their coins either. I can see if they were going through the same Post Office and some postal worker was snatching them, but they have been from different locations in the country.
Is their a restriction that we don't know about and these coins are being seized?

I've done a lot of trading with other CCF members in the past two months, and so far all my packages seem to have got through.
I post my coins in normal size envelopes between pieces of corrugated cardboard and wrap them up very securely. I make sure the overall weight is under 100g, affix stamps for the appropriate amount as an airmail letter, and put in the letter box.
Admittedly I haven't sent anything really valuable this way, but it seems to be reliable. One of my recipients told me that one envelope had been opened on arrival in the USA, but the contents were not disturbed.
I'd recommend this method for fairly low value coins, based on my experience.

I just received my Constantius Siliqua coin today and that was from London Ancient coins? It took about two weeks for it to arrive. Maybe Fortuna is on my side? What ever the case, I do hope that you receive your coins soon Echizento.

So when you mail your package you don't have to declare the contents? That could be the problem if others are declaring and the packages are being grabbed up.

I just bought a coin on ebay (both purchase and sale within the UK). The seller included this in his (standard) advice that the coin had been shipped: " At the moment due to US government restrictions all items to the US are taking about 3 weeks to get there." Though he doesn't specify what the 'restrictions' are ... .

I had to put a customs declaration on the envelope. On your Carausius I put "copper disk for research", value £1.

Maybe these are just isolated incidences than. I've had packages that have never arrived along with one or two other folks that have never received theirs either. They were sent from different locations, which made me wonder if they was some type of restriction. So I guess it's comes down to a dishonest postal worker in the US Port of Entry that's grabbing them up.

I bought my 3 Ptolemaic bronzes from UK with no delay in shipping. Usually I put "Religious Token" on the customs form when I ship international ! Well they do usually have a depiction of some god on them so I am not exactly lying am I ? I have had few problems with things disappearing. One fellow up in western Canada emailed me last week that the Canada Large Cent he purchased last July just arrived ! More problematic has been Russia. Things have turned sour over in Putin land and I now have blocked most items from bids. That is a shame as I used to feel rather good when I got positive feedback from someplace like Murmansk ! I can't imagine living on the Arctic Ocean without ebay to pass the 3 months of night. For items of nominal value I still allow the bids. Even to (Glorious Nation of) Kazakhstan I have shipped with no problem. My favorite destination is Saudi Arabia ! The mailman wouldn't dare ! Not worth it ...... really !

That's interesting FR, some of those countries you mentioned I would even consider buying from or selling to. I figure their postal system is iffy at best.

Ive shipped to the us with no problems, though I usually put a sticker saying, lucky badge winner, on the front of the envelope. Only problems have been the other way where things dont arrive. Tracking usually shows they disappear before leaving the US though.
