Can any member give some information about this dog or the name of it? Thank you.

I'm not a dog lover, but I think it could be a Norwegian Elkhound. (just because of the breed name "Norwegian")

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwegian_Elkhound

This is from an attractive series of Norwegian coins from 1 ore to 1 krone, each one featuring a different animal. I don't think the coin is meant to depict any specific dog.

A couple years ago, I got the full type set of these Norwegian animal coins in what must have been one of my earliest world coin collecting accomplishments. Here's the thread, with pictures of all types:

Nalaberong, thank you your link and thread. Your animal coin set is beautiful. The Elkhound looks strong and good shape. A lovely dog!

I actually happen to have such a set myself, including the 5kr coin. Not surprising as I reside in Sweden. I too like the designs of this series. Truth is I have found a 1kr coin from that series in my change once...
