I guess I need to introduce myself. Sometimes I feel like an outcast.
So, here it is. My name is Faye. My Dad died last year and he had a collection. I had no idea. My Mom needed (needs) money, so she gave it to me to sell. I did quite a bit of online research, but obviously not quite enough. I sold most of the collection to a coin dealer. Kept a few things for me.
But then, I got obsessed with every coin that came into my hands. So now, here I am.
I do appreciate everyone's help.
And I am a Southern Belle, South Carolina.

OH dear Faye, why do you feel an outcast? This is the ONLY Internet coin group which welcomes all and asks only civility. You'll feel more at home in short order. And if you feel up to it, tell us which of dad's coins you kept? Whenever you look at then you'll only remember the good.

LOL, jbuck. The majority of my family are garnet. I, on the other hand, can't make up my mind, so I just let things happen as they happen!

Matthew, I don't feel like an outcast anymore. It's just that I was so inexperienced and felt like I was annoying with some of my questions. I would like to post what I sold to the coin dealer and get some opinions. It was quite a bit. A lot of junk silver, I thought, but now I'm not so sure. He had some completed or almost completed books of Indian Heads, Mercury dimes, Walking Liberty, etc. I'll get my full list and post it sometime. Thanks so much everyone for the welcome. I know it's May and I signed up in March, but sometimes things get a little hectic. I know you all know what I mean.
