I just noticed on a coin I purchased online it has a grade of MS 64+ from NGC I'm not sure what this means I presume it means it could have been a MS 65 but....I wish TPG's would give a tiny bit of information for those of us less informed and fortunate to be endowed with the gift of the intricacies of grading.

It means it's a REALLY good 64 example... not quite a 65 but pretty darn close in their books...

Now for the exact reason what knocked it down.... they won't provide that... otherwise they would be overwhelmed with validating their answers they wouldn't be profitable... or they would have to charge even more for grading..

On the registry sets, it counts as a 0.5 grade point... for some, that matters...

NGC's attempt to make their slabs unnecessary of a CAC green bean.

macdon: If you go to the PCGS or NGC websites they explain
their grading standards. NGC+ is high end for the grade and
above average eye appeal.

it's basically a better coin than what the grade shows, but not quite a step up.

Thanks for input. I just had a talk with the coin [ Morgan USA dollar ] and apologized to her that because of the "almost made it grade" I cant put her with the MS65 class I gave her a tissue to dry the tears and said get over it and maybe some day who knows....
