I really like this coin.
It's actually the first circulation coin I've ever bought from the mint.
Do you know why it's a bit special ?

The 75th Anniversary Battle of Britain would make it special, but I believe the Mint wont admit to whether it was a mistake or intensional
for the unc coins not to have the denomination on it.The mint have said that the circulated coins will have the 50p on them.
So the question remain's whether it is or is not an error which the mint would'nt and dont want to admit.
Thats all I know to be honest.

I called the mint a few days after this coin was first released.. they said the 'error' was not actually an error.. it was done intentionally to credit the designer of the coin... Sounds like rubbish to me

Yeah, every coin design they ask you to put the denomination on the coin.
