The following is a release from the Numismatic Crime Information Center

Detectives with the Stoneham, Massachusetts Police Department are investigating the smash and grab burglary of Numismatic Investments/Colonial Trading during the early morning hours of March 16, 2015. The suspects smashed the front window and removed gold coins valued in excess of $250,000.

The following is a list of stolen coins.

Pan Pac Gold $50 Octagonal NGC MS64
1 - 10oz Perth gold bar
1 - 10oz Credit Suisse gold bar
1 Austrian Philharmonic Set
1 China Panda Set
1 Krugerrand Set
1 CML Set
9 - MS 64 Saints Slabbed
10 - MS65 Saints Slabbed
1910 $10 Indian MS66 Slabbed
40 one ounce gold Buffalo's raw
1 roll $20 saints
1 roll $10 Liberty's
3 - $20 MS66 Saint Gaudens
3 - $10 Indians MS65
3 - $5 Indians MS64

Looks like a meltdown of some expensive coins.

Who in their right mind puts the expensive gold coins at the front of a store? I would much rather put mine on a display in the back, or even better, in a safe.
