this planchet is the size of a nickewl dollar and was found in a presentation with one but the lot also includedtrade dollars of almost the same weight.

specs:

weight : 14.7 grams

diameter : 32mm

thickness : 2mm

planchet type: 2(rimmed)

magnetic : yes

any help would be great, perhaps someone knows what coins were struck by the mint for other countries fitting these specs.?

looks like its either a Trade dollar planchet of unknown origin or a Papau New Guinea

I can XRF it, and then you'll know for sure... at first glance, it does not look like pure nickel.

if it is a Papau New Guinea One Kina planchet produced by the RCM what would it be worth?

If it is, I would say you are looking at a coin with a very thin market! Probably very scarce, but probably also a coin with very scarce buyers.

that's what I would be afraid of, the only thing going for if value wise is the fact that it is a RCM error on a larger size example.
